“Flatten the Curve”
Your Library in the Time of Coronavirus
We are still here! We are currently operating under Phase Two of our Covid19 Exposure and Control Plan. We will answer the phone and email during all open hours. Please reach out if you need anything. The contact information is below.
Many library services are available. Here is the current list of available services:
Open to the Public by Appointment
We are open by appointment on the following schedule:
Fri. 2-5 pm
Sat. 9-12 pm
Mon. 10-2 & 2-4 pm (if the library is closed on Monday for a holiday, we will be open the Tuesday immediately following the holiday, by appointment)
To schedule an appointment, please call or email the library for a time. (802-843-2404, firstname.lastname@example.org) Drop-ins are allowed, if a time slot is available. One person at a time allowed in each section of the library or one family group of up to four people--15 minutes per visit, unless other arrangements have been made. (Families with children may have 30 minute appointments.) Contact tracing is required, masks are required to enter and we will ask you to use hand sanitizer. Please don’t wear enter wearing plastic gloves.
Please leave your book returns in the drop box outside and remember to socially distance outside or stay in your car, if you are waiting for an appointment.
We are open for curbside service on the following schedule:
Tues.-Wed. 10-1, 2-5pm
You may also use curbside service any of the days we are open to the public by appointment.
Pick-up of library materials is available during normal operating hours and after-hours. Your materials will be in the grey bins on the porch, in a bag with your name on it. You may pick up your items at your convenience.
If you have access to a computer, browse our collection on-line via Library World, our automated catalog. Go to our website (www.graftonpubliclibrary.org) and click the link on the right. If you do not have access to a computer, call the library. We will work to find something you will like. Click here for more information about our Curbside Service.
Return your books to the book drop. We will clean all returned materials and place them in “quarantine” for four days before they circulate. Please do not return materials if you do not feel well. Stay home and stay safe. This is not a time to worry about overdue materials.
Wifi will stay on 24/7 and may be accessed from outside the building. The range extends to the porch, tables on the library lawn, parking lot and directly in front of the building on Main Street. Our public computer, printer and copier are available on the days we are open by appointment. If you need something printed on another day, contact the library and we will use curbside service. The public computer is not available when we are not open by appointment.
Patrons have access to e-books and audio-books 24/7 through ListenUp! Vermont. If you don’t have a unique card number for ListenUp!, please contact me and I will get you set up. We also have access to the Vermont On-line Library and classes through Universal Class. All of these on-line services are accessed through our website.
