Treasurer’s Report:
Financial report is up to date. Michelle will get in touch with TIAA to ask
them about new forms that need to be filled out for their restructuring. She
will wait after Town Meeting, to include the changes on the board of trustees
when addressing paperwork for TIAA.
Librarian’s Report:
All financial reports
and reconciliations are up to date. We
are $100 away from our budgeted goal for the Annual Appeal for this year. Michelle has applied for the 2026 Summer
Performer Grant. The Public Library
Annual Report is in process. We are working on the tasks involved in applying
for the HUD Grant. A grant subcommittee
consisting of Michelle, Mary Beth, Galen, and community member Donna Alexander
has been created. An action plan has
been formed. TIAA has cleared the use of
our endowment for short term transfers to pay contractors in relation to any
work contracted with the HUD grant funds, until we are reimbursed by the state
(should we get the grant)
Genre displays have been put up throughout the library, as well
as the February new books. A new Puzzle
Challenge will be on March 8, 3-5pm due to enthusiastic demand.
Old Business:
The Board went over the specs for contractor estimates for the work needed at the library,
in terms of the HUD grant application.
The list is extensive but all repairs are necessary, and many have been delayed for lack of
funds. Hopefully, the HUD grant will
come through to cover all of them.
New Business:
The removal of the failing sugar maple by the ramp was
discussed and the pros and cons were weighed.
Further discussion was tabled until the next meeting.
Next Meeting:
March 23, 2026, 10:00 am
Adjournment: 10:50 am
