5. Librarian’s Report:  Michelle outlined a new off-site program called Walks of Wonder. The technical issues with Libby appear to be resolved. All grant purchases have been made to date. The summer performer grant was received and we will spend it on musician for the local elementary school in September. The next ARPA grant was applied for and we expect approval. Funds will arrive in June. Ray Lisai has accomplished a lot of spring clean-up work outside. I’ve thanked him in the Grafton News. I will be on vacation from July 2 - 7 and then will make a trip to Spain in October—dates still TBA.

6.  Old Business:

Building Maintenance – Board asked Michelle to put a notice in the Grafton News announcing that the board is looking for bids for electrical work, interior painting and a heat pumps project. Michelle will also call about the fire/smoke alarm monitoring company.

Annual Budget--FY23 budget was approved, after a brief Executive Session to discuss payroll. After ending executive session, the board approved the FY23 budget with the following modification: salaries (library director, bookkeeping, and library assistant) will increase by 7% and payroll taxes will increase accordingly, starting July 1 2022.  Michelle will make the adjustment to the budget and distribute to board members. She will also talk to the town clerk to see what documentation is needed to adjust the payroll with the town.

7. New Business:

Board chair asked that board meeting time be rescheduled, as most evenings will no longer work with work schedule. After brief discussion, the board voted to move the monthly meetings to the 4th Monday of the month from 10-11am. Michelle will alert the Grafton News and make the change of schedule known on our website.
